QualDerm Partners is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Medical Assistant to join our team in Charleston, SC. As a PRN Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and support. Your role will involve working on an as-needed basis to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care and attention. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are available.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage communication to optimize patient flow.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean and organized, fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and practices related to dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software.
