Position Summary
We are looking for a high energy community-driven Community Events Curator to fuel our expansion into new markets. You will be the architect of our local calendars, sourcing and posting daily activities that transform the 55+ experience from "staying active" to "thriving together." The ideal candidate bridges the gap between digital efficiency—using AI and Google Suite—and grassroots community intuition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curated Sourcing: Research and identify high-quality local and virtual events (festivals, workshops, social clubs, etc.) specifically tailored to the 55+ demographic.
- Digital Content Creation: Use AI tools and Hank’s platform to write engaging, SEO-friendly event descriptions and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
- Data Management: Track event performance, RSVP trends, and sourcing pipelines using Google Sheets to ensure total market coverage.
- Community Spark: Actively participate in event chat threads to welcome members, answer questions, and drive RSVP engagement.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with the Manager to analyze metrics and pivot sourcing strategies based on what resonates most with the Miami and Tampa communities.
Requirements
- Local Expertise: Deep familiarity with the cultural landscape of Miami or Tampa (neighborhoods, local organizations, and hidden gems).
- AI & Tech Proficiency: Comfortable leveraging AI writing tools to scale content production and proficient in Google Workspace. Must be able to use Excel and digital technology tools.
- Communication: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adopt the Hank "voice"—warm, inclusive, and energetic.
- 55+ Focus: A genuine passion for building community for older adults and an understanding of their unique social needs.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work remotely while maintaining high productivity and meeting weekly event volume targets.
- Community-Oriented Experience: Demonstrated involvement or knowledge of in local community organizations, volunteer work, event management.
- Availability: Regular business hours with occasional availability to support in-person events if needed; required attendance at weekly team meetings and 1:1s with manager.
Performance Metrics
- Event Volume: Maintaining a pre-defined number of live events per market.
- Engagement Rate: Average RSVPs per event and chat interaction levels.
- Content Quality: Accuracy, tone, and timeliness of event postings.
