SLP-As at Chatterboxes are supported with intention, clarity, and respect. Our supervision model is designed to help you grow with confidence while always feeling supported:

✨ Clear roles & expectations — From the start, we prioritize clarity around scope of practice, documentation, communication, and responsibilities so you can focus on doing your work well.

✨ Consistent mentorship & collaboration — SLP-As meet regularly with their supervising SLP to review therapy plans, reflect on sessions, problem-solve challenges, and track professional growth. Support is proactive—not reactive.

✨ Hands-on guidance, not micromanagement — Supervising SLPs balance oversight with trust, empowering SLP-As to grow while always having access to guidance when needed.

Requirements

For Clinical Fellows:

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology

For SLP-As:

• Associate's degree from an accredited SLP-A program
• Fully licensed or working toward licensure as an SLP-A in Virginia
• Meet all state and federal guidelines for SLP-A practice

For Both Positions:

• A strong interest and passion for providing creative, engaging, and neurodiversity-affirming services
• A passion for connecting with other SLPs and collaboratively helping children succeed
• An independent self-starter with a very positive, highly energetic work style
