Reno Orthopedic Center wants you to join the team as a CMA - Pre-Admit Tech! We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to administer health screening tests in the Pre-Admit Surgical Screening clinic to ensure patients can have surgery in our surgery center. at our Main location - 555 N. Arlington Ave.

What would you do in this role?

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring patients are fully prepared for surgery by conducting comprehensive pre‑admission screenings—including taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and completing blood draws. You’ll help patients navigate their surgical journey by securing medical clearances, accurately recording medical histories, and keeping their electronic medical records up to date. Your communication skills will shine as you provide compassionate, clear guidance to patients and families, answering questions and easing concerns. You’ll also support the clinical team by completing pre‑surgical assessments, medication reconciliation forms, and essential administrative tasks such as documenting results, filing, and data entry. With opportunities to maintain and grow your skills through continuing education, this position allows you to make a meaningful impact on patient care every single day.

 

A Day in the Life

Requirements

  • Certifications/Education;
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Assessment-Based Records in Order Entry certification OR two years of experience in a back-office clinical setting;
    • Office Laboratory Assistant certification or Laboratory Assistant Certification or ROC Phlebotomy Training Program;
  • Knowledge of;
    • HIPAA and OSHA regulations/procedures;
    • Customer service principles and practices;
