Job Title: RN Hepatology Standard of Care (SOC) Clinical Director

Location: Peoria, AZ

Reports To: VP of Clinical Operations

Compensation: 130-150K per year (DOE)

Status: Full-time, Salary, Exempt


Essential job functions/duties

Clinical Oversight and Quality Assurance

  • Develop, implement, and update evidence-based hepatology clinical protocols. 
  • Conduct regular chart audits and analyze patient care outcomes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. 
  • Collaborate with other directors to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance patient safety and quality of care. 
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical quality, patient outcomes, and patient experience. 
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. 

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Provide clinical guidance to interdisciplinary teams, including Practice Administrators, providers, and other operational staff. 
  • Collaborate with Practice Administrator to optimize staffing, workflows, and operational strategies across clinics. 
  • Mentor and support clinical staff development, fostering knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices. 
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care questions and challenging cases. 

Operational and Strategic Support

  • Lead department-wide meetings to communicate updates, new protocols, and clinical initiatives. 
  • Lead collaboration with other departments to ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and maintain “survey-ready” standards. 
  • Support onboarding and integration of new clinical staff in coordination with site leadership. 
  • Assist with procurement decisions related to clinical equipment, tools, and supplies. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required 

  • Strong direct patient care skills and clinical judgment. 
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and clinical processes. 
  • Project management expertise and ability to drive initiatives across multiple sites. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to maintain a strategic vision for departmental growth and clinical excellence. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Supervises Practice Administrator directly and provides oversight for the entire SOC department
  • Hire and train new team members as needed and in collaboration with other leaders within the department
  • Provide continuous guidance for performance improvement within the team and disciplinary action as necessary
  • Plan staffing for the department in collaboration with site supervisors, VP of Clinical Operations, and Practice Administrator
  • Execute timely evaluations for direct reports as necessary

  • Clinic setting

Physical demands

  • Able to lift at least 15 lbs.
  • Able to sit for long periods (at least 50%)
  • Able to type and do computer work for long periods

Travel Requirements

  • Quarterly travel to Admin office (Chandler, AZ) and client prospecting travel may be required as needed
