Your role and responsibilities

IBM seeks to hire a Systems Services Representative for the Las Vegas, NV area. This role is for an individual contributor responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems and components including hardware, software, and operating systems in a data center environment.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

• This is a field-based/mobile position that requires frequent travel by car to client sites across the Las Vegas, NV area. As such, the work location is considered Las Vegas, NV

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have reliable vehicle.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Identifies key aspects of problem-solving techniques used in own area Utilizes accepted procedures for problem analysis and resolution

• Describes problem reporting and escalation practices

• Explains the value of a disciplined approach to problem solving

• Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives

• Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution

• Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information

• Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.
