Job Summary: The Area Clinical Director (ACD) serves as the highest clinical authority within their assigned region, overseeing multiple centers and leading Clinical Directors to ensure the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and client-centered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This senior leadership role is responsible for clinical excellence, strategic alignment with company goals, risk management, and regional performance outcomes. 

 

Responsibilities:  

 
Leadership & Oversight 

 

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Clinical Directors across multiple regional locations. 
  • Serve as the highest authority for escalated clinical concerns and decision-making. 
  • Ensure adherence to GBE Alliance’s clinical standards, values, and ethical practices. 
  • Collaborate with Clinical Directors and executive leadership to support regional growth, operational efficiency, and service expansion. 
  • Maintain alignment between clinical objectives and overall company goals. 
  • Fill in for PTO of CD to ensure center success. 

 

Clinical Quality & Case Support 

  • Ensure high-quality ABA services through review of client data, treatment plans, supervision practices, and clinical performance metrics. 
  • Provide consultation and guidance on complex or high-risk cases, supporting data-driven clinical decision-making. 
  • Monitor client outcomes using internal tools and performance standards. 
  • Implement and uphold evidence-based ABA practices. 
  • Oversee compliance with the BACB Ethics Code. 
  •  Lead incident reporting processes and risk management initiatives. 

 

Team Development & Training 

  • Mentor Clinical Directors and clinical teams to promote professional development and clinical excellence. 
  • Ensure effective supervision practices across the region. 
  • Support onboarding, training, and performance improvement initiatives for new and existing staff. 

 

Collaboration & Advocacy 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, address challenges, and ensure caseloads meet established standards 
  • Represent GBE Alliance within the local behavior analytic community 
  • Support outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts 
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives 
  • Collaborate on policy development and implementation 

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in a field relevant to Applied Behavior Analysis, in accordance with BACB guidelines.  
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.  
  • Active state licensure, where required.  
  • 5-7 years of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a clinical or supervisory role.  
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience supervising BCBA's or clinical teams.  
  • Successful completion of a background check and any other required screenings.  

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Flexibility to occasionally adjust work hours to meet organizational needs 
  • Ability to lift or push up to 30 pounds 
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform prolonged computer-based work as needed 
  • Quarterly travel to regional centers for 3–4 days, with additional travel as needed for audits, support, and new center openings 

 

Performance Expectations:  

  • Oversee regional clinical performance metrics and ensure positive client outcomes. 
  • Ensure budget adherence and responsible financial oversight. 
  • Support and monitor regional financial performance in alignment with ethical and clinical best practices. 
  • This role may evolve over time, with responsibilities updated as organizational needs change.
