Role Description
Your North Star: Redefine the midlife experience for women by providing expert mental health guidance that prioritizes education and early intervention. Serve as a clinical partner to our patients, helping them manage the emotional, cognitive, and physical challenges of menopause transitions through compassionate, evidence-based therapy and personalized care planning.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-on-one virtual care visits for Pomelo patients
- Establish individualized care plans to meet specific health needs based on evidence-based standards
- Complete behavioral health screenings, ensuring appropriate responses including diagnostic, therapy, and behavioral health interventions to midlife patients
- Perform ongoing psychosocial assessment of patients, providing reassurance and building rapport
- Identify and address barriers that have been identified by patients
- Reduce care gaps (missed appointments, medication management, etc.) by frequent engagements with patient
- Collaborate with all involved teams and support services to ensure that patient and family needs are met
- Document all care/interactions in a timely fashion and escalating to appropriate multidisciplinary teams, as needed
- Provide high quality care in accordance with industry and Pomelo standards
- Ensure continuous compliance with all relevant licensing board requirements to maintain an active clinical license
- Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts to improve our ability to provide the highest quality care to patients
- Support group care, as needed
Who you are
- Possess an active LMHC or LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts and willingness to obtain licenses in all US states
- 5+ years of experience in midlife mental health care, specifically addressing the intersection of hormonal shifts and psychiatric symptoms (depression, anxiety, and trauma). Expertise in menopause-specific interventions including sleep hygiene for insomnia, cognitive strategies for brain fog, and evidence-based non-hormonal symptom management (e.g., CBT-M, CBT-I)
- Completed all clinical supervision hours required for independent licensure in Massachusetts
- Passed the NCMHCE (for LMHC) or ASWB Clinical Exam (for LICSW)
- Residence in MA or a Counseling Compact state (for LMHC only)
- Passionate about comprehensive women’s health, including perimenopause and menopause, with a strong desire to support patients through all stages of midlife care
- Experience using data to drive patient engagement, activation, and clinical outcomes
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary successful teams, with track record of outstanding collaboration and teamwork
- A growth mindset with the ability to approach process change and ambiguous situations with enthusiasm, creativity, and accountability
- Facility using multiple tech platforms, with an eagerness for advising about platform improvements and adapting to new systems
- Eager to thrive in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
- Phenomenal interpersonal and communication skill
Bonus points if you have any of the following
- Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) or similar certification
- Telehealth and/or remote monitoring experience

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Pomelo Care. In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $73,000 - $85,000 annually. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
