The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fast growing operating companies to lead the end-to-end product and technology transformation of a mission-critical enterprise platform at a pivotal moment in its evolution.
The Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) will own our the full product and technology mandate spanning product strategy, engineering, architecture, security oversight, quality, and delivery. The role replaces a fragmented leadership model and is accountable for establishing disciplined governance, modern SDLC practices, unified architecture, and a resilient engineering culture.
You will lead a multi-year modernisation program while maintaining the reliability of a platform used daily by thousands of frontline operators. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical credibility, and the ability to balance transformation with operational stability.
You will define and execute the AI and data strategy, laying the foundations for predictive analytics, data-driven decision support, automation, and future AI-enabled customer experiences.
What You Will Do:
- Define and deliver integrated product, technology, data, and AI strategy, aligned with Banyan’s long-term objectives.
- Own roadmap governance, product rationalisation, and lifecycle management across the platform.
- Lead architectural consolidation and modernisation, establishing a secure, scalable, cloud-aligned foundation.
- Implement a modern SDLC with strong automation, quality gates, CI/CD standardisation, and predictable release practices.
- Drive migration to modern .NET, API and UI modernisation, and improved data architecture and integration standards.
- Establish the data and AI foundations, including data governance, analytics capabilities, and responsible AI practices.
- Partner with the CISO to strengthen security governance, secure development practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the executive technology liaison for customers and partners, improving transparency, confidence, and delivery predictability.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing product, engineering, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams, setting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
- Significant’ experience in senior product and technology leadership roles (CPTO, CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent) within SaaS or enterprise software environments.
- Proven success leading large-scale modernisation of legacy platforms into secure, cloud-ready architectures.
- Deep technical expertise across .NET, distributed systems, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern architectural patterns.
- Strong product leadership capability, including roadmap governance, prioritisation, and lifecycle management.
- Experience leading technology transformation in mission-critical, operationally intensive environments.
- Demonstrated ability to define and deliver data, analytics, and AI strategies within SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence executives, customers, and technical teams.
