Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to lead the user experience design for a new CRM system initially targeted at the travel industry and later scalable to additional sectors. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role where you will shape the entire UX architecture, user flows, wireframes, and interface logic for a new platform that will be used by travel agencies, tour operators, travel advisors, and eventually businesses across multiple industries.

The ideal candidate will have strong UX expertise, a deep understanding of CRM systems, and industry experience in the travel sector. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to design a CRM that is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with the specific workflows of travel professionals.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

UX Strategy & Research

  • Conduct user research within the travel industry (agents, operators, travel consultants).
  • Gather requirements and translate them into UX strategies tailored to industry workflows.
  • Analyse existing travel CRMs and identify gaps, pain points, and areas for innovation.
  • Create user personas, client journeys, and workflow maps.

UX Design & Prototyping

  • Develop UX architecture, system flows, and information hierarchy for the CRM.
  • Create wireframes, low-fidelity prototypes, and high-fidelity interactive mock-ups.
  • Design intuitive dashboards, booking workflows, lead management interfaces, and automation screens.
  • Ensure the platform is scalable for future expansion into non-travel industries.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with developers to translate UX designs into functional product components.
  • Collaborate with UI designers, product owners, and business leaders.
  • Provide clear UX documentation, guidelines, and interaction specifications.
  • Participate in sprints, design reviews, and feedback cycles.

Usability Testing & Iteration

  • Conduct testing sessions with travel professionals.
  • Use feedback to refine and optimise user flows.
  • Continuously improve usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience as a UX Designer.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems, including workflow logic, lead management, reporting, pipelines, and automation features.
  • Experience designing SaaS or enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience in UX research, wireframing, and prototyping (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
  • Ability to design complex user journeys and data-heavy interfaces.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Highly Advantageous

  • Experience in the travel industry (travel tech, booking systems, GDS tools, tour operator systems, travel agency operations).
  • Understanding of travel sector workflows:
    • Trip planning
    • Booking management
    • Supplier interaction
    • Enquiry-to-booking lifecycle
    • Itinerary building
  • Familiarity with travel CRM tools (e.g., TravelJoy, Travefy, Salesforce Travel extensions, etc.).

Personal Qualities

  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Empathetic towards user needs
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Able to work independently and take ownership
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities
  • Passionate about creating world-class UX
