You Are:
You will be joining our Retirement and Personnel Sector and Converge Operations Team to own and drive the strategy, growth, effectiveness, of our Retirement and Personnel business and operational efficiency of Converge Operations. You will maximize operational strategies and participant experience, minimize time to enablement, and maintain regulatory compliance across third party and internal operations. You will partner cross-functionally with our Product, Analytics, CX Hub, and Compliance Teams in scoping, defining, and prioritizing projects, and policy and tooling enhancements. You will work with our account teams to define the go to market strategy, shape our offerings, and engage with teams across the organization as we work with other Federal Agencies in the retirement and pension space. The ideal candidate is a seasoned defined contribution operations and process optimization leader with a proven history of balancing operational risk and participant experience needs. We'll rely on you to help us ensure our defined contribution operations are timely, accurate, and compliant, and that we are well-positioned to scale our operations as we grow.
The Work:
In this role, you can expect to:
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strategically develop, implement and optimize operations processes, tools, and policies to achieve performance objectives while mitigating regulatory, reputational, and financial risk
- Identify and resolve potential compliance situations that impact participants, develop process and documentation. Team with the Product, Analytics, CX Hub, and Compliance teams to justify proposed changes through forecasting the impact to participant experience, regulatory/reputational risk, operational expenses, and/or fraud losses
- Celebrate excellent performance and empower your team to improve areas of opportunity. Hire and train new team members as needed
- Own and assess your team's progress toward performance goals. Including SLRs/KPIs related to processing timeliness and accuracy and participant satisfaction
- Regularly prioritize the highest impact initiatives and communicate to management and stakeholders
- Analyze reporting to identify performance improvement opportunities and training deficiencies, and team up with PMO to execute on those opportunities
- Support internal and external audits and due diligence requests
- Believe it's integral to lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
- Foster a cohesive and creative work environment with internal and remote teams and across multiple time zones
Here's What You Need:
- 10+ years of financial services operational experience working with large public sector defined contribution plans including significant exposure to payroll, audit, accounting, policy and procedure oversight, employee education and fiduciary board support
- 3+ of those years in a management role that included sourcing and hiring talent, scaling operations, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to team members
- Analyze, summarize, and communicate findings and issues drawn from facts and apply complex requirements in a technically competent manner
- Possess strong prioritizing and project management skills and look for opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence
- Bring robust industry knowledge to the Federal retirement space
- Bachelors Degree or 10+ years of industry experience
- Experience leading a large program, project and/or team

- Automation and optimization are two of your greatest strengths, and you possess strong prioritizing and project management skills

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
