We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector Mechanical to ensure that final products meet drawing requirements and specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and documenting damage or nonconformance issues and conducting thorough investigations.
Schedule: Full-Time, 1st shift: 7am-3:30 PM
Must have flexibility to work OT and some weekends
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that final products meet drawing requirements and specifications through thorough inspection processes.
- Identify and document any damage or nonconformance issues and conduct investigations into these discrepancies.
- In-process and final inspections of sheet metal final assembly installations on aircraft components such as fuselage, wings, and tail assemblies.
- Maintain accurate inspection logs, write detailed inspection reports, and handle a variety of moderately complex tasks.
- Frequent collaboration with individuals from other departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- In-Process Inspection
Qualifications:
- Must have Aircraft structures and/or sheet metal inspection experience
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and all applicable drawings
- Familiarity with AS9102
- Knowledge with nonconformance investigation
- Previous experience inspecting mechanical parts
- Proficiency with product verification to drawing requirements
- Strong communication and technology skills
Requirements:
- Must be local
- This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and may be subject to random drug testing
- Must undergo background check
- Must be ITAR compliant
Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($0.67 per mile driven). Untaxed.
