Description
Veterans Engineering is seeking dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to patients in telemetry units. As a Telemetry RN, you will monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, providing immediate care and intervention as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret telemetry readings accurately, and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry for cardiac rhythm changes and vital sign abnormalities
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and interventions per provider orders
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Respond quickly to patient condition changes and initiate appropriate clinical actions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge plans
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) and Valid RN license in Arizona OR active Compact RN license
- Strong understanding of dysrhythmias and telemetry interpretation
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
Travel Requirement
Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
