Description
Veterans Engineering is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family/Internal Medicine Physician to become a vital member of our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, focusing on both preventive care and the management of chronic conditions. You will cultivate strong patient relationships and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare. This position provides the opportunity to support our veterans and their families while advancing your professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and follow-up services for patients of all ages
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results
- Prescribe medications safely and appropriately following federal and state regulations
- Coordinate care with specialists, behavioral health, care managers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, compliance activities, and clinical meetings
- Provide culturally competent care and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Support community health initiatives and outreach programs as needed. Adhere to all organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to patient safety
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of clinical training (residency)
- 2-3 years of experience required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Current CA MD or DO license
- DEA license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong understanding of clinical best practices and current medical protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient relationships
- Commitment to providing compassionate healthcare to patients of all backgrounds
Travel Requirements
Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
