Description

The ABA Coordinator serves the Specialized Needs Unit (SNU) by supporting the behavioral team in the development of behavior plans, behavioral analysis of selected target behaviors, education of staff in plan procedures, and supporting the family/caregiver behavioral training program.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhances the delivery of effective and measurable behavioral treatment to patients.
  • Performs data analysis procedures for selected target behaviors.
  • Coordinates behavioral assessment and treatment protocols for all patients.
  • Collaborates with BCBA to develop, model, and teach positive behavioral support plans to staff, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborates with BCBA to develop individualized parent and patient goals.
  • Program development to support goal attainment.
  • Prepares and maintains data collection sheets, other clinical data forms, graphing and data analysis for patients.
  • Documents services provided, to include supervision and parent training notes.
  • Supports the family/caregiver training program including scheduling sessions and facilitating effective training of family/caregivers.
  • Collaborates with other team members (OT, Speech, RN’s, RBTs, and MHTs) on patient care and performance improvement activities.
  • Liaison between day shift and night shift training and program implementation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a Human Services or related field required
  • Working knowledge of ABA practices
  • Previous experience working with children diagnosed with Autism
  • Minimum one (1) year experience collaborating with cross disciplinary agencies that work with Autistic children and their families
  • Must have experience with coordinating and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Teaching and training skills are required
  • Experience with therapeutic limit-setting helpful or an understanding of level systems or other behavior management modalities helpful
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
