The Senior Finance and Membership Records Manager helps safeguard sacred funds and membership records, supporting the mission of the Church. This is achieved by leading a dedicated team, overseeing financial and membership data analysis, and ensuring compliance and accountability across the area.
The role includes preparing and reviewing financial and membership reports, implementing risk and process improvements, and supporting leadership with clear, actionable insights. Additionally, the position drives effective use of technology and supports a culture of integrity and service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a finance and records team, fostering a culture of accountability and service.
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial and membership data, ensuring rapid identification and resolution of issues.
- Oversee compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting, protecting sacred resources and organizational credibility.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency by leveraging AI and data analytics tools.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with senior Church leadership and stakeholders, providing actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Professional Finance background (qualified accountant, ideally the German Bilanzbuchhalter), Bachelors degree majoring in Finance/Accounting or equivalent certification with over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Deep analytical skills and proven experience in commercial finance, risk management, and process optimization.
- Leadership experience in managing, coaching, and transforming teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel & PowerBI) and ERP systems (Oracle) with an openess to new technologies, such as AI models.
- Strong emotional intelligence, integrity, and commitment to the mission and values of the Church.
- Advanced English level is required. Other European language, including German, would be an advantage.
