We are seeking a strategic and clinically focused professional to lead the development and implementation of service pathways for syncope and stroke care across NHS providers in the Southeast of England. This role will involve working closely with hospital clinicians, service managers, and procurement teams to identify gaps, design solutions, and support adoption of innovative technologies that improve patient outcomes. You will act as a trusted partner to providers, ensuring alignment with national guidelines and local commissioning priorities, while driving sustainable growth in these critical therapy areas.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Engage with stroke and syncope service leads, cardiology and neurology teams, and hospital decision-makers to understand clinical and operational needs
  • Develop tailored service models that enhance patient flow, diagnostic accuracy, and treatment efficiency
  • Provide education and training to clinical teams on best practices and technology integration
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions meet compliance and deliver measurable value to providers
  • Monitor market trends and NHS priorities to inform strategic planning for syncope and stroke pathways

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Healthcare experience: Proven background in working with NHS providers
  • NHS Knowledge: Strong understanding of Key NHS policies fundings mechanisms
  • Stakeholder engagement: Ability to build relationships with clinicians, service managers, and procurement teams
  • Commercial awareness: Understanding of how service improvements align with business objectives and NHS priorities
  • Excellent communication: Ability to present solutions and influence decision-making at multiple levels

We would prefer candidates with knowledge of health economics, including cost-benefit analysis and value-based healthcare principles. We would also value experience in project management, particularly in implementing service changes or clinical programs within hospitals. A strong clinical understanding of syncope and stroke care pathways—or related areas such as cardiology, neurology, or acute care—is highly desirable. Experience with digital health solutions, such as remote monitoring or digital diagnostic tools, as well as previous medtech experience in cardiology, neurology, or stroke-related devices, would be beneficial. Change management certifications such as PRINCE2 or Lean Six Sigma for healthcare are an additional advantage.
