Your main tasks:

Medical Scientific affairs and liaison strategy and plan

  • Continuously monitor latest medical-scientific trends (incl. regular monitoring of clinical trial databases and Pubmed/EMBASE, congress participation), customer experiences and needs as well as competitor activities
  • Support successful launch of new products and to penetrate the market for the appropriate product use
  • Scientific expertise for the patient needs and requirements of relevant HCPs of medical nutrition within several disease indications, in particular to foster the therapeutic areas in our nutrition portfolio

Medical Scientific liaison

  • Building relationships/liaising with HCPs, KOLs and research institutions to identify a network of experts to support our key activities
  • Initiate and implement scientific projects in collaboration with key opinion leaders
  • Represent Fresenius Kabi in external scientific meetings (e.g. congresses, Advisary Boards, Best Practice Boards, Summits) and evaluate business related trends

Medical Scientific communication

Internal communication:

  • Develop and share scientific presentations and FAQ documents on key publications, key scientific topics relevant for our product groups and therapeutic areas (e.g. new ESPEN & ASPEN guidelines)
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of new scientific publications and other public information to spot trends and unmet medical needs.

External communication:

  • Identify need for secondary publications (e.g. position papers, reviews) supporting successful product launches and penetrate market with information about the appropriate product use plan and implement secondary publication
  • Set up publication strategy and plan, develop and submit secondary publications working closely together with key opinion leaders in the respective areas (product groups, therapeutic areas)
  • Prepare and share scientific presentations to disseminate scientific information about the appropriate product use in the therapeutic areas in course of e.g. expert meetings, educational events

Medical Scientific support

  • Work on science-based product messages creating scientific message-evidence-tables, key message documents, and narratives
  • Work closely with marketing supporting science-based product positioning and messages creating scientific message-evidence-tables and narratives, perform scientific review and approval of promotion materials
  • Work closely with education & training providing scientific input to agenda, selection of topics and speakers as well as their briefing and review of lectures, and scientific support of defined assets on-site and follow-up after the event
  • Work closely with market access supporting evidence-based value propositions and value messages, develop medical-scientific content, perform review and approval of value communication tools/global value dossiers
  • Work closely with Global Medical Science & Innovation to support new product ideas, new product compositions and complete draft scientific rationales for new products and develop key messages for launch
  • Work closely with regulatory affairs regarding updated scientific rationales and review of SmPCs of existing and new products
  • Scientific support of regions and market units regarding special scientific inquiries (incl. management of Infobank) and internal global product training courses (GPTCs)
  • Scientific support in challenging competitor advertising as appropriate as well as in the defense of key claims upon challenge by competitor companies
  • Support Clinical Operations and IIT department in the development of clinical study outlines for CSTs and IITs as well as interpretation of study results
  • Scientific support in review of clinical study documents and participation in GTC

Your profile:

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition Science, or a degree in Medicine or a related scientific field (e.g., Biology)
  • At least 2 years of experience in medical-scientific affairs clinical nutrition (e.g. as working student) or related functions
  • Excellent communication and social skills, open-mindedness, self-motivation, team spirit, persuasiveness, accuracy, good analytical and organizational skills, presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate scientific and clinical insights.
  • Ability to transfer complex science into simple, market-relevant medical-scientific concepts and messages
  • Fluent English language skills in speaking and writing, German, and Spanish (spoken and written) as a third language is preferred
