As MT Member, the role will align, adapt, and transform the supply chain in accordance with the strategic objectives of the companies in Spain and Italy to achieve Ecotone’s Group goals.
Streamline processes from sales forecasting to customer receipt of goods (commercial planning and production, purchasing, and logistics), identify inefficiencies, and implement appropriate measures in the affected Supply Chain processes for Italy and Spain.
With a team of 5 direct reports (Supply chain manager, warehouse manager, Logistics & sourcing managers), 50 people with indirect, you will report to the General Manager Southern Europe and will be based near Madrid (Seseña).
Key Responsibilities:
- PURCHASING: Savings on material and product purchases, key suppliers: negotiations and follow-up, new strategic suppliers, purchasing processes: contracts/tenders/supply agreements, process simplification and reengineering, international transport, occasional support and staff training.
- PRODUCTION PLANNING: Connection between sales forecast and production, production sequencing, stock management.
- LOGISTICS – STORAGE (Warehouse Seseña): Process improvement: order preparation systems, warehouse management systems, efficiency improvement/personnel, capacities, connection with transport agencies.
- TRANSPORT AGENCIES: Annual negotiations, transport strategy, search for new concepts and agencies, service follow-up and major incidents, efficiency improvement/personnel, connection with transport agencies.
- OTHERS: Management Committee, Industrial Committee, relations with Sales/Marketing, relations with Quality, relations with Administration.
Education, Experience & Competencies:
- Master's degree is a plus in Logistics or Supply Chain
- 10 years’ senior-level leadership with an outstanding track record of success in these areas
- Leadership and team management: ability to develop talent and drive vision to build effective and engaged teams
- In-depth knowledge of supplier management, presentation/negotiation techniques and agreements, procurement systems,
- Production knowledge (resource management, sequencing, waste, cost and expenses, OAE, etc.),
- Storage systems expertise: pick to light/push to light/pick to voice/etc., warehouse structuring,
- Experience with national and international transport and logistics operators, outsourcing of logistics operations.
