Safeguarding Research Officers (Adult Social Care) - Ref: SS03625
G5: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum.

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Adult Safeguarding Hub as a Safeguarding Research Officer (SRO).

Main Responsibilities of role:

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all incoming safeguarding referrals, whether via phone, email, or other communication channels.
  • Promptly and accurately record information related to safeguarding concerns in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with others, including social workers and relevant professionals, to gather and share information to ensure appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with people and agencies, providing guidance and support when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and actions taken in response to safeguarding referrals.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and data protection regulations, ensuring the security of information.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up to date with safeguarding practices and procedures.

The ideal candidate will :

  • Have a level of understanding of adult social care and adult safeguarding.
  • Have an excellent ability to communicate with others both verbally and in writing and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent Information Technology Skills.
  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently as part of an Adult safeguarding social work team.
