Location: Barry, IL

Pay Range: $15.35 - $23.03 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

About the Role:

Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, ensuring patients feel welcomed and supported. You will assist with registering, scheduling, and handling inquiries with accuracy and professionalism. This position is critical in creating a positive first impression for patients and visitors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Register patients, verifying and updating demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-pays, provide general account information, and refer patients to appropriate resources as needed.
  • Accurately schedule appointments and assist with department-specific workflows.
  • Maintain cash drawer accuracy and prepare deposits following standard accounting procedures.
  • Respond to incoming calls, manage messages in a timely manner, and make outgoing calls for scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Process work queues for registration, referrals, and orders promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Previous office or customer service experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
