At Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport, we are searching for our next Assistant Night Manager as a result of internal growth within the hotel. You will play a pivotal role within our Night Team as the 2IC to the Night Manager during the core hours of 11pm to 7am. This role involves leading our Front Office overnight team to ensure the night operation runs smoothly with exceptional service delivery being at the core of your team’s actions.
You will delegate team members to ensure all service levels and guest requests are met whilst independently resolving any guest issues and complete night reporting as required.
This role holds the important responsibility of hotel and guest safety and security whilst taking a confident lead in the event of an emergency event.
You will also play a key role in coaching and mentoring your team members to support their development whilst looking for opportunities to further yourself and your career journey.

What we need from you
- Minimum 1 year experience in hotel Front Office, with experience as a leader highly desired
- Ability to independently handle guest issues and make autonomous decisions
- Ability to take the lead in emergency situations whilst remaining calm and supporting guests and the team through the event
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Opera
- Ability to generally work the hours of 11pm-7am across a 7 day roster which will include weekends and public holidays, with some flexibility required.
- A full Victorian drivers licence
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
- Working rights to work fulltime in Australia (sorry, sponsorship is not an option)
