Operate and troubleshoot Inline equipment, ensure bags are produced on time and to customer quality specifications, and organize assigned crew for optimal productivity and quality.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Complies with all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures.
- Understands and follows lockout – tagout procedures for assigned equipment.
- Must be able to accurately read and interpret plant order information and complete required forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Understands and follows all quality rules and procedures and performs required quality checks on product being produced.
- Understands and follows all SQF policies and procedures including, but not limited to, procedures for food safety, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and auditing.
- Understands machine capabilities in order to determine if machine can produce product specified on the Article and ensures that all materials and parts needed for production run are available.
- Performs set up of machine for production run as specified on the Article form and other set up documentation.
- Ensures that machine speed and productivity is maintained and makes adjustments as needed.
- Performs set up of machine for production run as specified on the POF form and other set up documentation.
- Sets up and adjusts Rotaliner to ensure proper heat seal placement and temperature.
- Ensures that machine speed and productivity is maintained and makes adjustments as needed.
- Ensures proper film materials are used and that equipment is operating properly to correctly heat seal film.
- Performs bag checks as required to ensure bags are being produced to quality specifications and makes machine adjustments as needed to correct issues.
- Ensures proper pre-apply materials are used and that equipment is operating correctly to apply adhesive.
- Troubleshoots machine issues and assists in repairs.
- Organizes Assistant Operators and Inspectors for optimal efficiency. Coach other employees on production, quality, and safety.
- Monitors the quality of the bags during the production run through bag checks and other methods. Communicates issues to supervision and the machine crew.
- Performs oil and grease procedures, replaces parts, and performs minor equipment repairs as needed.
- Performs rework or reclaim activities as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
- Performs housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up and disposing of trash.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- Four plus years of Inline/Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail abilities
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $32.00 per hour to start
