Position purpose:    As the Test manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a world-class testing practice within our organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by implementing effective testing strategies, processes, and tools. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of talented testers, driving continuous improvement and innovation across the testing practice.

Performance outcomes – Aligned with position core functions
1.        Establishing a Test Practice:
·       Define and implement testing processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
·       Create documentation, training materials, and guidelines to support the testing practice and promote best practices.
Test Lab set up and management
Establishing Bangalore Test Lab similar to Auckland lab.  Managing both Bangalore and Auckland lab for testing the products for various customers. Planning the lab equipment and software licences and getting the required approval from leadership. This include setting up FE & FIT lab by acquiring the lab equipment and configuring and commissioning the same. Taking accountability in upkeep and maintenance of the lab so that it is almost replication of production environment. 
2.     Talent Acquisition and Talent Management
·       Lead the recruitment and hiring efforts for the testing team, attracting top talent and building a high-performing team.
·       Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
     Conduct comprehensive Test Resource Review and come up with talent management execution plan. 
3.     Testing Across Devices to Cloud:
·       Develop strategies for testing across a variety of platforms, including mobile devices, web applications, and cloud-based solutions.
·       Select appropriate tools and frameworks to support testing in diverse environments and technologies.
4.     Defining Success KPIs:
·       Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing process.
·       Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the value of testing to stakeholders.
5.     Automation, Regression Testing, and CI/CD:
·       Implement automation frameworks, regression testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline the testing process.
·       Evaluate and select testing tools and technologies to support automation and continuous integration initiatives.
6.     Leadership and Influence:
·       Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the testing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
·       Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization and effectively communicate the importance of testing and quality assurance.
•    Support Invenco’s policies and practices 
2.        Test Strategy 
•    Identify the test capability required to meet current and future demand in specialised technical disciplines
•    Work with the Software Development manager and product management team to develop the overall strategy and roadmap for test to meet organisational objectives
•    Determine and advise on test tools and methods
•    Raise the QA/Test profile within Invenco to significantly improve quality standards and integrations
3.        Continuous improvement
•    Continually seek ways to improve and enhance the quality assurance process and the process of application development and maintenance
•    Oversee the continual improvement of the testing function
•    Develop and refine test processes, methodologies, disciplines and measurements across all technologies
•    Actively promote testing principles and disciplines within Invenco and seek feedback on effectiveness of testing processes
•    Plan for test teams and environments to have the right tools (manual and / or automated) in place enabling ability to deliver consistent and quality output
•    Ability to motivate the test teams with the view to creating a high performing team that is willing to do what is required / go the extra mile to achieve high quality results within often tight time scales
4.        Presentation and reporting on testing 
•    Collate information from ongoing testing for MBUs / Scrum Teams 
•    Analysing results from Zephyr to support release delivery and to identify when a release is not on track, supporting the team to return to green.
•    Present the information gathered to suit the target audience, be it executives or developer/technical audiences
•    Anaylse historical results from releases and identify areas for improvement by using trend analysis

Essential:
•    Passion and desire for testing, continuous improvement and aiming for high standards of quality
•    12+ years relevant testing experience - ideally within a technical development environment, 5-6 years of experience in a lead capacity
•    Testing experience of embedded/hardware/software/development testing using testing methodologies and processes
•    Demonstrated senior level test analyst experience in automation and manual testing. Proven track record of establishing and leading testing practices within organizations.
•    Able to demonstrate an example of testing maturity with regards to measurability and repeatability
•    Strong expertise in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
•    Experience with automation frameworks, regression testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
•    Ability to establish strong relationships internally and externally
•    Ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms and drive continuous improvement.
•    Strong customer focus

•    Test automation scripting experience
•    Understanding of the software development lifecycle
•    Experience working with Agile development methodology in particular SAFe – Scaled Agile Framework 
•    Experience with JIRA or relevant issue tracking system 
•    Relevant tertiary qualification: Masters degree in electronics, computer science, information systems or similar
