About the role – Senior Social Strategist (Type1)
Who we are looking for:
VML Canada is seeking a Senior Social Strategist and subject matter expert to join our awesome Type1 team at VML Toronto to work on an iconic brand in the automotive category.
Here's where you come in:
You're a curious, culturally fluent strategist who loves to question assumptions and challenge the status quo. You'll engage with the customer daily through various social channels in order to uncover insights that can guide a brand's ideas and decisions.
What you’ll do:
Responsibilities
- Develop social strategies, social playbooks, activations and campaign ideas.
- Conduct and synthesize research, ongoing reporting, social listening, and other data to contribute to the brand's strategic decisions.
- Working with / managing content creators.
- Help to develop and publish daily social content.
- Engage with community comments and feedback in order to ensure that the content is resonating, and to identify any potential issues or opportunities to further strengthen the social strategy.
- Partner with creative, strategy, data, and media teams to support the brand's social marketing goals.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of social marketing experience.
- Experience working independently, with the ability to move projects forward without detailed direction.
- Understanding of social platforms and functions, and the ability to share that knowledge with others.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Impeccable attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Automotive enthusiasm a plus (but not required).
- Degree in Marketing or a related field of study a definite asset
