Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. This position carries both administrative and strategic responsibilities, contributing to the planning and execution of essential HR functions, including benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, leave management, training and development, performance management, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, talent acquisition, and compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Professional certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., ADA, EEO, FMLA, state-specific PFL, FLSA, etc.)
  • Effective organizational skills with ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; capable of building strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively with a team environment
  • Ability to travel between company locations (Elizabethtown and Lawn, PA), as needed
  • High level of discretion with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information or confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms

Physical Demands/Environment

  • Regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to finger, handle, or reach; talk/communicate; ability to hear and see; ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to stand in one place; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; use color vision; ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. with team assist or equipment. 
  • Noise level ranges from quiet to moderate.
  • This is a full-time onsite position at our Elizabethtown, PA location.
