We are seeking a Ballet Instructor for our afterschool program! This position offers the chance to combine your passion for early-childhood dance education with the opportunity to work with 3- and 4-year-olds at one of the premier independent schools in New York City. We are looking for individuals who are engaging, nurturing, and able to introduce foundational ballet skills while fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for movement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Actively engage and motivate young students during ballet activities, warm-ups, and transitions.
- Introduce age-appropriate foundational ballet concepts (balance, coordination, rhythm, body awareness).
- Maintain a supportive, joyful, and structured classroom environment for preschool-aged students.
- Work closely with school staff to support student safety, behavioral expectations, and smooth transitions.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding student progress and any program-related matters.
- Utilize company-wide digital platforms to perform administrative tasks (e.g., taking attendance, submitting incident reports as needed, etc.).
- Maintain and organize ballet class materials, props, and supplies.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment through patience, encouragement, and creativity.

Day: Wednesday
Time: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
We are looking for candidates who can commit for the full 25-26' school year.

Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's program (required).
- Experience teaching or working with preschool-aged students (required).
- Background in ballet, dance performance, or early-childhood movement instruction (required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (required).
- Ability to inspire, engage, and gently motivate young learners (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with educational or administrative tech tools (preferred).
