Job Description

Dollar bank is hiring a Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will work with other members of the payroll team to ensure the accurate processing of the semi-monthly payroll, as well as preliminary and final payroll reports, timecards, and employee changes. You will also respond to inquiries and/or requests for data. Overtime may be required during peak periods. You will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule after successful training.


Required Qualifications:


· High School Diploma/GED required. College degree a plus.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Basic proficiency in Excel).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

· Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with business units.

· Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:


· Working knowledge of timecard software.

· Understanding of Crystal Reports and/or Lawson preferred


Principal Activities:


· Process paperwork for new hires and enter employee information into the payroll system.

· Ensure the accurate processing of transfers, promotions, address/tax changes and terminations for current employees.

· Review timecards and approvals to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies while ensuring the proper documentation of employee absences (i.e., personal, vacation, leave of absences, etc.).

· Issue and record pay adjustments related to retroactive increases or previous errors.

· Respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

· Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.

· Guarantee proper payroll record keeping and file retention.
