Inova Accounts Payable is looking for a dedicated AP Customer Service Analyst to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time day shift working Monday – Friday located in Fairfax, VA. 

The Accounts Payable Customer Service Analyst is responsible for providing timely customer service and problem resolution to Inova’s internal and external customers, as well as vendors. This role interfaces closely with multiple stakeholders and exhibit a solutions-driven and continuous improvement mindset, developing efficient processes based on logged customer service issues and after analyzing trends and areas of opportunity.

AP Customer Service Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with customers, addressing customer queries and complaints in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. Accountable for enforcing company policies and procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Handles the day-to-day inquiries from internal and external clients. Monitors vendor email inquiries/call logs and responds in a timely manner. Maintains strong, positive, professional relationships with all customers and vendors.
  • Monitors recurring customer service issues, identifies trends and areas of opportunity and closely collaborates with Manager AP Customer Service to help perform root cause analyses and bring the correct and most effective resolution to issues at hand.
  • Possesses an understanding of accounts payable duties as well as being kept abreast of departmental processing changes or new rules of law pertaining to accounts payable functions.
  • Utilizes and continuously learns various systems and services including Supplier Setup, T & E Module, 1099/1042S processing dates, AP Workflow and check run formats and payment schedules.
  • Assists with end-user training as needed.
  • Reconciles and keeps track of vendor statements monthly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: HS or GED
  • Experience:  3 years of relevant office or customer service experience; Or 2 years of experience with an Associate’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Previous experience using Oracle preferred.
