The Software Engineering Project Lead – OEM Programs will serve as the technical and project leader for collaboration with one of PDF Solutions’ strategic OEM programs, driving the design, development, and delivery of advanced equipment control software built on the CIMControlFramework (CCF) and next-generation Equipment Controls Foundation (ECF) platform.
This position requires deep technical expertise in C# and equipment automation, coupled with proven leadership ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, interface with customers, and ensure high-quality, on-schedule project execution. The ideal candidate will bridge engineering depth with program-level visibility, ensuring this strategic OEM project sets the benchmark for future OEM engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all technical aspects of the assigned OEM equipment software project, from architecture through release
- Collaborate with internal PDF Solutions teams (development, solutions, QA) and customer stakeholders to define system requirements and deliverables
- Architect, implement, and review C#-based modules for equipment control, sequencing, and connectivity (SECS/GEM, EDA, etc.)
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for this strategic OEM, ensuring project alignment and customer satisfaction
- Guide and mentor a team of developers and engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and sprint planning
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies with product management and executive stakeholders
- Ensure seamless integration between this OEM’s systems and PDF’s ECF/CCF frameworks
- Participate in system design reviews, testing, and deployment processes
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices in architecture, testing, and documentation
- Provide input on feature prioritization and technical risk assessment
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with C# / .NET, including multithreaded application design
- Proven experience in equipment control systems (semiconductor or similar industrial automation)
- Strong understanding of GEM/SECS/EDA standards and real-time control frameworks
- Experience leading technical teams or projects in a customer-facing environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface across engineering and executive levels
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Experience with CIMControlFramework (CCF) or equivalent control platforms
- Knowledge of gRPC, Avalonia UI, or cross-platform C# development
- Background in Digital Twin or simulation technologies
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing workflows or OEM tool integration
