1 class per week that meets 3 times per week. Part-time employment. Sub will not receive benefits. Priority given to those who have submitted their applications by Dec. 1.
Skills
Demonstrated knowledge and practice of culturally responsive teaching and learning.
Collaborative, flexible colleague with teaching experience;
Clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents;
Demonstrated knowledge of a child’s social/emotional development and developmentally appropriate curriculum;
Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design, varied pedagogical approaches as well as different styles and types of assessment.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field;
Understanding of and experience in applying best practices in anti-racist education;
2-5 years teaching experience, and demonstrated desire to teach in the middle school.
Ability to provide Background as well as TB clearance
Additional Qualifications
Advanced degrees/certification are desirable in music.
