Barstow Unified School District (BUSD) is a diverse school district that serves a student body of approximately 6,226 students and employs over 700 Classified and Certificated staff. Job Description
Minimum Qualifications: BA Degree with minimum units in subject area. Valid California Teaching Credential.
Major Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Teaches subjects to pupils, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Trustees and other appropriate learning activities. 2. Provides planned learning experience in order to motivate pupils and best utilize the available time for instruction. 3. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. 4. Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports, communicating same with parents through conferences and other means. 5. Participates cooperatively with the principal or his designee to develop the performance objectives by which he/she will be evaluated in conformance with District guidelines. 6. Other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Must possess a valid California Teaching Credential with EL Authorization
2. Interns, and those eligible for a PIP or STSP Permit may be considered.
3. EDJOIN Application Must Include: copy of transcripts, copy of appropriate credential, copies of all test results; CBEST and CSETs, etc.
4. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation dated within two years.
5. CPR Certification

Salary based on education and verifiable experience.
