POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the General Manager, supervise, administer, and coordinate all Casino Slot Operations. Manage and perform responsibilities in accordance with all PlayLV’s Company standards, policies, and procedures. As well Nevada Gaming Regulations.
Top 5 Specific Job Functions:
- Assist in overseeing Slot Operations to ensure proper procedures are being followed in accordance with company policies and Nevada Gaming Regulations.
- Supervise, schedule, train, evaluate, coach, and counsel Slot Department operations and technician staff.
- Utilize professional human relationship skills to select, develop, and motivate staff.
- Ensures staff are friendly and engaging to develop lasting relationships with our guests and build brand loyalty.
- Assist in ensuring that the assets on the floor are well-maintained, operational, and appear fresh and inviting to the guest.
- Handle guest disputes and complaints, perform service recovery when applicable.
Other Specific Job Functions:
- Responsible for all slot operations, technical, and administrative duties involving the Slot Department.
- Develops, implements, and monitors slot policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the goals and objectives of the casino. As well as state regulations.
- Develop strategies to create service levels designed to expand guest attendance and experience and increase slot profits.
- Develops, implements, and monitors a Slot Department budget. Understanding and documenting reports monthly as to any variances.
- Develops and structures department operational goals and objectives, enforces organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintains online records of all slot machines, determines slot machine mix, pays out percentage, and locations to maximize slot revenues.
- Responsible for documentation to ensure the Slot Department complies with specifications required by the Gaming Control Board
- Provides reports to the General Manager and CEO.
- Monitors and manages service levels through analysis of reports and follow-through.
- Works closely with the Marketing Department in the establishment of slot promotions programs which are unique, exciting, and revenue- profit generating.
- Identify training needs and contracts with service providers and internal resources to provide staff development opportunities for current employees.
- Responsible for training staff in current and new technology of slot machines.
- Establishes internal operating procedures with Surveillance and Security departments and any additional safeguards as necessary to protect the assets, customers, and Casino employees.
- Ensures the effective and timely transfer of slot banks to the main vault.
- Establish outstanding customer relations with guests.
- Adheres to Title 31 procedures.
- Establishes and maintains an effective business relationship with vendors.
- Recommends slot format and prize payment to adjust performance to competition.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
- Reviews monthly slot performance. Reports to develop a strategy that maximizes slot revenue and profitability.
- Shops and understand the Plaza’s competitive set and develop strategies to ensure we outperform the market.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance Administration, Human Resource Management or related field and eight (8) years of managerial or supervisory slot experience. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling twelve (12) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, direct, and assign work.
- Ability to make judgments and decisions regarding guest and employee complaints.
- Ability to implement and administer disciplinary procedures.
- Ability to analyze and develop timelines, project resources, monitor, and evaluate results.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Ability to develop and administer a slot budget.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public and casino staff.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write reports and maintain slot files and employee schedules.
- Ability to develop and implement training needs for employees.
- Ability to pass an extensive background investigation.
- Knowledge of Casino operations, federal and state reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of all slot and gaming operations.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Preferred:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of Slot Management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Player’s Club, Oasis, CMS, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Previous experience working in a similar casino setting.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Nevada Gaming License
- Alcohol Awareness card
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods at a time.
- May be required to do light lifting or carrying.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and in stressful situations.
- Must respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external customers professionally and courteously.
- May be required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be flexible in work hours/days.
- Must be able to travel.
- Requires good vision.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
- Must be available to work extended hours, nights, and weekends.
