This position requires technical experience related to building cutting-edge products and development processes. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with both the manufacturing industry and high-technology-driven products with clients and customers.
This role is focused on project development, involving deep engagement with technical requirements, issue resolution, and communication with customer and Tier 1 companies to ensure innovation and strength in automotive business operations. It directly influences integration project development across clients and automotive manufacturers and requires confidence in identifying problems, communicating concerns, and driving solutions to ensure top-quality development and timely delivery.

Position Location: Aliso Viejo, CA
As the Development Engineer Contractor, You Will:
Support resolution of technical issues.
Identify and manage all feature issues and publish weekly reports.
Resolve software and hardware issues and communicate with customers to handle related concerns.
Support senior engineers such as R&D, Validation, and other cross-functional teams.
Communicate with client HQ cross-functional teams.
Analyze issues and support development while serving as the main contact point for customer communication.
Review analysis decisions with senior software/hardware engineers (e.g., analysis results, FMEA, quality impact).
Follow the customer’s acceptance process in alignment with internal development procedures.
Accumulate professional experience and contribute to increasing VS business across car manufacturers as a long-term strategy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
0+ years of experience in automotive component development or testing,
or 3+ years of engineering experience developing and/or testing automotive components,
or 5+ years of experience delivering high-quality products or services to automotive companies.Interest and prior experience in automotive infotainment.
Experience and/or knowledge of:
Software development (C, C++, QNX, Linux, Cinemo, XML, HMI, CAN network, embedded systems).
Hardware development (schematic design, board layout, circuit analysis).
Working across multiple disciplines (SiriusXM, CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Audio control, RF, OTA, VIF, CPU & Micom, Network, Hardware, Testing).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Desire to continuously learn and explore new technologies.
Passion for technology and problem-solving.
Travel/Physical Requirements
Up to 30% travel, including out-of-state and international travel.
Ability to:
Sit/drive and/or test in a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day (up to 4 hours at a time).
Lift/carry/setup up to 30 lbs of samples, workstations, benches, boxes, and tools.
Interact with displays, controllers, and steering wheel while driving or performing stationary testing.
Preferred
Experience with complex systems.
IATF 16949 certification.
APQP & FMEA certification.
Bilingual in Korean and English.
Compensation
$28–$33/hr (DOE)
