Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and versatile Academic Consultant who excels in Classical Studies, especially Latin, and possesses strong quantitative reasoning or mathematical abilities. This unique role blends humanities expertise with analytical skills to support students across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Academic Coaching and Mentorship

• Provide personalized academic mentorship in Classics (especially Latin) and relevant humanities/topics, as well as mathematics or quantitative subjects.
• Participate in comprehensive training programs to become fluent in Cardinal Education’s pedagogy.
• Help students identify strengths, develop critical inquiry skills, and gain academic independence.

Qualifications:

Eligibility

• Demonstrated versatility in both classical humanities and quantitative subjects.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Minimum 1-year commitment to part-time tutoring.
• At least 5 hours of availability per week.

Experience

• Previous tutoring or relevant teaching experience is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Advanced study (MA/PhD) in Classics, Ancient History, Latin, Archaeology, Anthropology, or related fields is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Latin and classical/ancient Roman culture.
• Quantitative or mathematical skill set.
• Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• High energy, creativity, and deep motivation to help students succeed.
• Ability to work independently while following company processes.
