In addition to a competitive hourly wage, Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) offers a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

As required.

Successful completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program.Registration (or eligibility) with CSMLS or equivalent provincial regulatory body.Strong phlebotomy skills and patient-first approach.Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
