About the role buy NSW is seeking an experienced, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a background in procurement systems to join our dynamic team. Primary purpose: As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will play a lead role in the development and execution of testing protocols and issues management for buy NSW. This position is a key member of team involved in the development of a large, complex web project that facilitates the achievement of business outcomes through procurement activity. You will be responsible for providing expert quality assurance advice and knowledge, end-to-end test coverage on new and existing features, writing and executing functional and non-functional tests and providing feedback to the team on replication and debugging. Working with the delivery manager you will ensure that testing aligns with sprint goals and outcomes and delivery timelines. About buy NSW: buy NSW is the New South Wales Government’s digital procurement platform, designed to streamline and modernise the procurement process for NSW Government buyers, suppliers and procurement professionals. As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will work with and contribute to this system to improve government procurement processes, enhance supplier engagement, and help foster efficient, transparent, and effective purchasing practices across the public sector. Your expertise will support the integration of procurement systems and ensure compliance with NSW Government guidelines. Buy NSW are a close-knit (and innovative) team working in an environment that is fast paced, often changing and customer focused. About you This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on and enjoys working in complex, evolving environment. To be successful you will be able to demonstrate: · Technical expertise: Functional, regression and performance testing, with proficiency in both manual and automated approaches. · Adaptation: Understand and leverage available technologies to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. · Customer-centric mindset: Designs and implements test protocols from the customer’s perspective, understanding and measuring what matters to users (government buyers, suppliers, procurement professionals). · Continuous improvement: Systematically identify and address root causes of issues, prioritise areas for quality enhancement, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose. · Collaboration and teamwork: Comfortable collaborating with analysts, managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes. Familiarity with buy NSW and other modern procurement technologies, platforms, and best practices would be an advantage.
Salary Grade 09/10, with the base salary for this role starting at 129,464 base plus superannuation
