The Role

The Community Partnerships Specialist supports Community Partners to deliver initiatives and projects that improve social outcomes for children and families within the community. The role maintains strong links with the community to promote capacity building and provides input to the strategic direction and planning for the Communities for Children (CfC) Program.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate community consultations, reference groups, and focus groups.

  • Research and analyse local needs, identifying service gaps aligned with program goals.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to deliver initiatives that make a real difference for children and families.

  • Monitor and manage Community Partner contracts and performance to ensure compliance with service requirements.

This position will be offered on a fixed term full time basis working 76 hours a fortnight until December 2026. This role is located in Armadale, with travel to Perth Metro sites required.

 

About You

You are passionate about improving outcomes for children, families, and communities. You thrive in roles that require collaboration, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. You’re confident working independently while building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to balance research, analysis, and community engagement ensures you can identify service gaps and deliver meaningful initiatives.

  • A tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience working with children, families, and communities in a similar role.

  • Strong skills in research, analysis, and community consultation.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively.

  • Knowledge of child development, social disadvantage, and asset-based community development.

  • Familiarity with DEX (Data Exchange) and relevant compliance requirements.

  • A valid driver’s licence, Police Clearance, and Working With Children Check.
