Clerical Aide/Health Aide/ Lunchroom chez Lake County Schools Consortium

Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 is seeking to fill front office position for clerical, health clinic and lunchroom duties at Half Day School.

Description:
General tasks of office maintenance regarding students, teachers and parents by utilizing your well-developed social, secretarial, organizational and computer software/application skills.  Ideal candidate for Lunchroom position would have experience and/or training providing services to individual and groups of students and dedicated to providing excellent support and behavioral management to students in the elementary setting.

CLERICAL/HEALTH CLINIC AIDE
Job Duties:

• General clerical support to teachers and administrators
• Answering phones and tours for new or interested families
• Ability to relate and communicate with a diverse student population in order to build positive relationships
• Prepare written and on-line communications and other forms of digital communication
• Organize/manage student health forms (immunizations, physicals, etc.)
• Support Nurse with data entry of state health information using SNAP
• Serve as health clinic aide in Nurse’s absence to handle minor first aid
• CPR and First Aid Training 
• Report accidents or illnesses and handle minor first aid
• Monitor visitor access to building, follow District Crisis Plan and safety procedures
• Greet community members and assist parents/visitors with questions, concerns or item drop off
• Ability to work with a team in order to create a positive and safe environment
• Manage incoming mail by receiving and distributing it to the correct recipients
• Ensure that all outgoing mail is appropriately handled and mailed out in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned by building administration

Job Duties:

• Assist students in the lunchroom
• Assist with cleaning the lunchroom (wash tables and wipe up spills & kitchen equipment)
• Assist with distribution of lunches
• Responsible for milk count  and other record keeping responsibilities
• Follow school safety, emergency and student management procedures
• Lifting up to 30 pounds possible
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Supervisor may find appropriate

Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Office - Must be proficient with Word and have a strong knowledge level in use of Excel
• Experience with Google Suite - Google docs, forms and calendar applications
• Familiarity with office machinery such as copiers, laminators, binding and postage machines
• Experience working with PowerSchool student information system a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and training
• Possess good intrapersonal and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with public school operations

Working Conditions:
Wage: Hourly
Work Schedule: 10 Months; Monday – Friday  (on student attendance days)
