OPPORTUNITY
The Adelante pathway could be tailor-made for you! As an Adelante teacher fellow, you’ll start as a full-time educator, immersing yourself in the world of teaching from day one while you simultaneously earn a Preliminary California teaching credential. Enjoy the stability of a salary and benefits while you complete your educational coursework. This path is perfect for those eager to make an immediate impact in the classroom.
The Adelante program is an accelerated pathway for individuals interested in becoming teachers by fall 2026.
We are currently accepting applications from those interested in obtaining a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science (Middle School Science, Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology), Math or Special Education (Mild-Moderate). At this time, we are unable to accept applications from those who wish to obtain a credential in English, Social Studies, Spanish, Special Education (Extensive Needs), Art or Physical Education.
The Adelante program is run in partnership with Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Admitted individuals will earn a Preliminary credential, and master's degree within a 15-month period.
Participants will begin coursework with LMU during the summer of 2026 (completing two online courses) and complete the remaining online coursework while teaching full-time at a Green Dot school.
This program offers comprehensive financial incentives, making a low-cost credential a reachable goal.
During the school year, your growth is our priority, with support including twice-weekly professional development, regular classroom observations, and personalized coaching with feedback. This comprehensive approach ensures you're well-equipped to make a significant impact in the classroom.
