Job Description: 

The Client Advisory Services Division Leader is responsible for overseeing the performance of the CAS Division, including the professional development of the team, and utilizing their talents to enhance the division’s overall performance. The leader will be tasked with creating, communicating, and implementing planned initiatives and operational changes that support the development of new service lines and revenue growth, contributing to profitability and increased market share. Additionally, the Division Leader will be responsible for ensuring exceptional client experiences that are in line with the firm’s core values. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the division budget, anticipates,      and addresses budget issues, and finds ways to improve engagement      profitability and billing.
  • Maximizes business development      opportunities through contacts and cross-business relationships to ensure      integrated client service excellence.
  • Coaches, trains, and support team members      in client services, client relations, and technical professional      development. 
  • Assigns client projects to CAS team      members and monitors work progress and billing.
  • Provides valuable insights by analyzing      client financial statements for billable work.
  • Proactively identifies potential problems      and consistently updates the Partner/Contact on the engagement status.
  • Collaborates with the recruitment team to      identify candidates who align with the firm's growth goals.
  • Remains current on GAAP and tax      regulations for accounting services.
  • Utilizes experience in QBO, Sage Intacct,      and payroll software to provide training for team members and clients.
  • Manages client relationships, resolve      complex issues, and provide strategic financial insights.
  • Leads the CAS team to meet the firm's      targets for utilization, realization, and billable hours.
  • Reviews CAS team member work to ensure      for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Demonstrates active listening to foster      trust and collaboration across teams. Adapts quickly to changing      priorities, guiding others through uncertainty with clarity and      confidence.
  • Coaches, trains, and supports team      members in client services, client relations, and technical professional      development. 
  • Manages performance evaluations and      professional development of CAS team members, including setting team SMART      Goals.
  • Shares professional knowledge with team      members, fosters collaboration, and develops a network of resources to      facilitate information sharing within the firm.
  • Ensures the CAS team is open, caring, and      accountable, reflecting the firm's supportive and responsible work      environment.
  • All other job responsibilities as      assigned.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred, with a minimum 7 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7+ years accounting experience – Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years people      management skills
