Description

Duties:

Primary responsibilities will be material handling, tool service for MP, and operating multiple machines within the MP track.

• Review all shop orders for tool and/or machine assignment.
• Assist operators and/or technicians in machine setup and troubleshoot.
• Provide expertise in departmental capabilities relative to customer requirements.
• Monitor equipment and schedule maintenance as required.
• Train new employees and arrange cross training of operators and/or technicians.
• Maintain daily production to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor adherence to safety procedures by all employees.
• Acts in a supervisory role when the departmental supervisor is not present.

Qualifications

Qualifications:          

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of vocational training.
• Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment.
• Requires ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read a blueprint and micrometer.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to persuade others and encourage teamwork.
• Working knowledge of all departmental equipment including set up and troubleshooting.
• Five years as an operator and/or technician within applicable department with increasing responsibilities
• Excellent organizational skills
