We are seeking a Materials & Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team. The person in this role will lead our shipping, receiving, and materials team. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of goods, compliance with all regulations, and effective inventory management to support company and project objectives.
Work location: Ryan Road, Warren, MI
Work type: On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.
Expected hours of work: Typical work schedules for this site are 6am-230pm, Monday to Friday.
Overtime: This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.
Travel: This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or local travel to other Paslin locations.
Work Environment: This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. This role requires the use of hand operated tools and machine controls. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 40lbs.
Direct Reports: Shipping & Receiving team, Material Coordination team, others as assigned
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, engineering or MIS preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing in a similar role, 2 years of leadership
- Proficiency with ERP systems (AX preferred)
- Experience with international shipping, customs compliance and tariffs
- Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a high regard for safety standards.
