Qualifications

? Ability to work extended hours if necessary

? Customer and quality focus

? Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

? Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly through a workday

? Valid drivers license 

Requirements

Key requirements

? Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events (on call 24/7 when snow is forecasted)

? Prepare and show up for shifts free from the influence of any drugs, alcohol, or medicines that influence safety or productivity

? Conduct pre-shift inspections and maintenance on all small equipment

? Clear snow and ice accumulations from customer sites from designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, salt spreaders and bagged salt

? Pile snow in designated and approved locations only

? Always be available for communication

? Document and report any obstacles at sites

? Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Fast paced, outdoors, in various winter conditions. Various locations, including both residential and commercial sites. Extremely flexible working hours, including nights, weekends and holiday work.
