Ready to help fathers build brighter futures? We’re seeking a Fatherhood Resource Specialist to join our team. This role is designed to support men and fathers seeking to improve their lives and strengthen their families by identifying, connecting, and securing essential community resources. The position blends resource navigation, case management, social media content creation, fundraising support, and administrative/outreach duties that ensure participants have the tools and support needed for success.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintaining database records and all reporting requirements outlined by the grant.
  • Proactively researching, building, and maintaining a comprehensive database of local, state, and national community resources.
  • Identifying resources in:
    • Housing: emergency, transitional, and affordable long-term options.
    • Employment/Trades: collaborating with the Workforce Development Coordinator.
    • Education: GED/HSE programs, college enrollment, financial aid, academic support, and life-skills programs (e.g., parenting, financial literacy, healthy relationships, anger management).
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with community organizations, service providers, businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between participants and external service providers, ensuring timely referrals and follow-up.
  • Working with participants to develop individualized resource action plans with measurable goals.
  • Providing direct advocacy with landlords, employers, social service agencies, and other external partners to help overcome barriers.
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential participant records and documenting all service plans, referrals, and outcomes in the case management system.
  • Developing engaging, positive, and informative content for Fatherhood Program social media platforms.
  • Performing additional administrative or office duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in human services, marketing, communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience); at least two years of experience in case management, resource coordination, or community outreach; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMS software, and social media platforms; excellent organizational skills; and a non-judgmental, participant-centered approach. Experience with basic fundraising activities is a plus.
