(Chicago/Hybrid) The Retention Associate will assist the Retention Manager in developing and implementing retention strategies aimed at increasing donor loyalty within key market segments. The Associate will support in the creation and execution of donor retention strategies across multiple market channels to retain donors for lifelong support for the mission of the Fellowship. The position of Retention Associate reports directly to the Retention Manager and will work in conjunction with the broader integrated fundraising team. This position is based in our Chicago headquarters.
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. A minimum of one to two years of experience in a nonprofit development or marketing role is preferred. Marketing, fundraising, or non-marketing jobs with transferable skills. Individuals in marketing, fundraising, or non-marketing jobs with related skills is required.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
Campaign Coordination:
- Assist with the creation of segmentation, run of show, robocalls, and promotional materials for donor prayer services and tele-town halls.
- Keep the virtual prayer wall up to date by reviewing prayers, triage any prayers that may need follow up.
- Coordinate quarterly mailings and special initiatives in support of the Leadership Giving Concierge team.
- Track the requests for production audio hours with Global CEO and other talent as needed for informative robocalls.
Operational Support:
- Review survey responses and coordinate with Donor Support for timely follow up and resolution of donor concerns and/or problems.
- Organize invoices to help ensure accurate budget tracking.
- Review reports and QC’ing data between internal and external vendors and work with analytics to ensure PowerBI reporting is accurate for channels.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Manager of Donor Retention, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
- Maintain organized and efficient filing systems.
Standard Operating Procedures:
- Identify opportunities to update Standard Operating Procedure documents to keep institutional knowledge current.
Technical & Individual Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with donor database systems a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and can work on multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with stakeholders at varying levels within the organization
- Quick learner. Ability to understand internal complexities and interconnectivity in processes
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
