Our current opening is for a Network Services Sales Engineer and Project Coordinator in our Springfield office. Project manager will manage all aspects of projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with available resources. Project manager is accountable for assigned projects’ scope of work, schedule, and budget. Other responsibilities include:

  

  • Support the KC NWS Project Manager in organizing construction and service projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Coordinate resources, manpower, equipment, and customer communications to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate project plans, schedules, and budgets with the operations team to maintain financial compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to the agreed scope of work between the account manager and customer.
  • Assess on-site changes, identify risks, and implement strategies to maintain scope and budget.
  • Facilitate meetings with the KC NWS PM, customers, and engineers to review project status, changes, and schedules.
  • Assist in preparing accurate monthly billings and closing documentation for projects.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of company products and services, including technical specifications and benefits.
  • Provide technical expertise to support sales efforts and assist in proposal and RFP development.
  • Proactively communicate with project teams, management, and customers to ensure alignment.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks impacting project success.
  • Assist in budget preparation, expense tracking, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
  • Prepare project estimates by analyzing equipment, subcontractor, and service requirements.
  • Deliver weekly status updates for project progress tracking.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring clear communication.
  • Occasional travel with potential overnight stays may be required.
  • Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish objectives.
  • Supervises the preparation of plans and specifications for the design/installation of solutions in buildings.
  • Receives and qualifies subcontractor proposals; supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
  • Reviews and updates the project estimate, as necessary, once the engineered design is complete and all subcontractors have been hired.
  • Attends project meetings to coordinate our activities with other trades and to inform the customer of our progress.
  • Reviews and becomes familiar with the construction schedule and progress.
  • Prioritizes the activities of other team members based upon the current construction schedule and activities.
  • Forecasts and plans for the appropriate level of manpower and equipment for the project.
  • Assist with preparing estimate for projects by analyzing and integrating equipment, subcontractors, and services for each project.
  • Provides weekly status updates that can be used for tracking the project’s progress.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
  • Possible travel requirements with occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Engineering and/or Business degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Financial budgeting, planning, administration, conflict resolution, and negotiation experience required. Familiarity and experience with at least one of the following; BAS Systems, Electronic Security Systems, Fire Detection Systems, Network Infrastructure. Must also have experience with Microsoft applications – Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Teams.
  • Final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check.
