KCW Engineering is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive BGE (Baltimore Gas and Electric) experience to join our team. This position focuses on utility standards and Quality Assurance (QA) for electric distribution projects throughout Maryland. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in BGE’s design and construction requirements, bring strong leadership in QA/QC processes, and hold an active Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical authority on BGE design and construction standards, ensuring compliance across all project deliverables.
  • Lead QA/QC reviews of electrical design packages to verify adherence to BGE and local jurisdictional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal engineering standards, QA procedures, and best practices documentation.
  • Mentor and support engineering staff, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients, permitting agencies, and construction teams to resolve design challenges efficiently.
  • Support internal audits, design reviews, and quality initiatives to enhance project consistency and performance.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in utility electrical distribution design, with direct BGE experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in standards development, QA/QC, and design review.
  • Strong working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and BGE distribution standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

 

Compensation:

  • $50.00-$68.00/hour (equal to $104,000-$141,440 annually)
  • Position eligible for overtime
  • Position eligible for discretionary bonuses at the sole discretion of the company
