This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving.

Average Number of Hours per Week: up to 20 hours per week

Schedule: Morning, afternoons, and some nights

Additional Information for Applicants: Work well in a fast-paced environment, possess strong oral communications skills, work well independently or with a team. Able to lift at least 50 pounds as well as move and manipulate items up to 100 pounds.  Read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

Duties: The Annual Giving Student Assistant will support the Office of Annual Giving by creating and managing content across various direct marketing channels. Responsibilities include:

  • Writing and editing content for emails, social media, crowdfunding campaigns, and other fundraising materials
  • Managing Annual Giving email inboxes and responding to inquiries from alumni and other stakeholders
  • Proofreading and editing team-generated marketing content
  • Coordinating communications between the Annual Giving team, internal communications, and other campus departments
  • Supporting internal communications across campus organizations
  • Assisting with occasional events, which may require minimal evening or weekend hours
  • Performing special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Must be a currently enrolled USF student.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Interest in marketing, communications, or fundraising
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Basic digital design skills (minimal use)
  •
