Do you excel at designing secure and resilient systems that protect mission-critical operations? Join PEMCCO as a Cybersecurity Engineering Lead, where you’ll drive enterprise cybersecurity engineering efforts and shape Zero-Trust Architecture frameworks from the ground up. In this role, you’ll guide the implementation of defensive cyber operations, oversee RMF processes, and lead ATO activities, ensuring systems are secured, compliant, and ready to support complex operational demands.

Essential Functions 

    • Develop and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architecture documents and security plans.
    • Lead RMF authorization packages, eMASS submissions, and vulnerability mitigation plans.
    • Integrate ZTA principles into network and application designs.
    • Conduct security engineering reviews and FISMA compliance audits.
    • Coordinate penetration testing and defensive countermeasure implementation.
    • Manage cyber incident response interfaces with SOC and DIA Cyber Directorate.
    • Provide technical guidance on cryptography, access controls, and data protection.
    • Train and mentor cyber staff on RMF and ZTA best practices.

    Competencies   

      • Expert in NIST SP 800-53, SP 800-207 (ZTA), and DoDI 8510.01 processes.
      • Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
      • Strong leadership and analytical reporting skills.

        Required Qualifications

          • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
          • Ten (10)+ years of cyber engineering with five (5)+ years in lead roles.
          • Active TS/SCI clearance. DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM III certification.

          Preferred Qualifications

              • CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, or GIAC Security Expert certifications.

              Compensation
              •   $90 – $155 hourly, depending on experience, ability, and capability.
